A day in… Milan

Wake up at:

***Hotel Ariston (10 min. walk to duomo, simple rooms, good rates)
*Hotel Palladio (6 tram stops away from duomo, cheap rates, very simple rooms, no breakfast, charming and beautiful building, nice staff, suitable for a short trip on a small budget)

Eat at:

Al Cantinone, Via Agnello 19
Aperitivo is a must when in Milan! This restaurant is located close to duomo and the prices are reasonable. At the bar of this cozy restaurant you can enjoy a drink accompanied by a delicious antipasti buffet. The rustic and typical italian vibe is just perfect.

Luini, Via Santa Radegonda 16
If you’re looking for a savoury afternoon snack go to Luini. They have freshly made panzerotti with savoury fillings. The original one for example is filled with mozzarella and tomato. But they also have a choice of sweet ones such as the one with figs, walnuts and cocoa filling. The place has no seating only take away. There is often a line in front of the place, but the wait is worth it.

Officina 12, Alzaia Naviglio Grande 12
If you are looking for a good place to eat dinner in Milan, you have to go to the navigli, which is the area along the naviglio river. There are plenty of good restaurant. A special one is Officina 12. They have great food and a cool vibe since the location is an old factory. If you see the location from outside you wouldn’t image it to be so cool inside.

202 Hamburger & Delicious, Corso di Porta Ticinese 6
If you are into burgers, you should check out this place for lunch. They have very good burgers and are not far away from the city centre. You can have a stroll through Via Torino and you will directly come to this place. They not only offer meat burgers but also a veggie or salmon burger.

Princi, Via Speronari 6
Amazing bakery with delicious breakfast, lunch and sweets for your afternoon coffee and tea break. In the morning you can get great coffee, freshly squeezed orange jus and delicious croissants. At lunch there is a variety of warm and cold dishes as well as pannini and pizzas. The selecetion of sweets is also amazing, perfect for your afternoon tea or coffee. Please be aware that the place is almost always crowded and it needs a bit patience to get your order in.
